I PITY EVERY PERSON ON EARTH WHO DOESN'T GET TO...
So, in Seoul, there are a few theatres that are in 4D. The chairs move, there’s wind, and sounds all over the place, and lights, and it’s like being on one of those Disney 4D rides, except it’s 2 hours long and it’s a movie. And right now, Star Wars: Episode 1 is running there. And for anyone who tries to say otherwise about going, I have two words for you: POD. RACE. ...

Interestingly Accurate...
While I was going through the website that I’m doing my TEFL certification through, I thought I’d check to see what they had listed about South Korean. I was expecting it to be described well and ignoring some things, but the website was surprisingly honest! KoreaTEFL Job Overview Many teachers find the working conditions in Korea not to their liking, while others feel that they are...

Review: “Roly Poly” Musical →
They made a musical based entirely on the “Roly Poly” video. Whether this is a good thing depends on the viewer.

I'm going to see (and review) the Roly Poly...
How T-ara got a musical based off their video is beyond me. But let it be said I am not biased in my review choices. Because God knows, T-ara are NOT my most favourite…

If anyone cares, I just finished my TEFL exam
When they say it takes a long time, they weren’t lying. I worked on it from 10 am to 4:40pm solid. Then I took a break so my brain wouldn’t melt, and got back to work around midnight. And now it;s 2:30ish. So it took me about 9 solid hours of work, including reviewing the video and stuff. I better get this certificate.

Teacher Woes
Sometimes, I overplan things. I feel like, I need to put a LOT of work into something to get some kind of payback. It doesn’t help when the other teachers seem to feel the same, with their powerpoint lessons and handouts. I sometimes forget that a simple game of hangman can be just as fun, if not more fun, than the computer program that might very well fail half way through a class.

Review: 2AM “Take Care of Christmas” Concert →
Weighing in at over 2400 words, this review is probably as complete as you can get, seeing as it’s as long as most midterm papers. 2AM’s Christmas concerts are beginning to be a fond Christmas tradition for me, and are constantly a favourite show of mine.

200 vs 2012! →
Dear Internet, you have 35 hours to get to 200 likes on A Blog Abroad! If 2012 comes before 200, I’ll have no reason to do my next give away! And that would be sad.

A challenge...
So right now, the Facebook page for A Blog Abroad has 183 likes. I can’t help but wonder what will come first, 200 likes, or January 1st, 2012. If the page gets 200 likes before the end of the year, there might be a special give away. As in there might be multiple items. Including one that is so incredibly rare, I didn’t even know it existed up until a few weeks ago. :D So. I hope...

Successful English Camp is Successful!!
Who would have thought, giving grade 3 kids marshmallows covered in chocolate and then dipped in oreo crumbs and sprinkles would be a HUGE SUCCESS?!? And then to top it off, we watched the Grinch. And I get to do this for three weeks straight. Hopefully, my love for chocolate will go the way my love for apples did last month, with a complete and total over saturation death.

I think this is an interesting idea. I mean, think of the way we get news today. A lot sooner trust bloggers than the news itself, because a blogger often isn’t being paid to do their job. They’re just doing it. Some do it for fun, some do it for portfolio filler (*hands up*) and some use it as a stepping stone in a further career (*hand still up*) And that’s the interesting...

ESL POV: OMG WTF KAWAII
Every year, I see the same complains coming up. Year. After year. After year. WHAT THE HELL, THEY’VE ADDED ______ TO THE DICTIONARY. I’M USING THIS IN AN ESSAY. THIS IS STUPID. IT’S NOT A WORD. Now, I don’t claim to be a linguist. I won’t sit here and judge what is a word and what isn’t. But I am a historian. A writer. And I teach English as a second...
